Sunscreen is arguably the most important aspect of a good skincare routine. Not even the best cleanser or moisturizer can improve the quality of your skin if sunscreen is not applied on top. This is due to the severe side effects that UV rays can have on the skin. The consequences of unprotected sun exposure can include sunburns, premature aging or even skin cancer. It is important to incorporate a good sunscreen, preferably SPF 30 or higher, into your everyday routine to maintain good skin health.

Many people disregard the use of sunscreen since it can be difficult to find a formula that works well with their skin type. For individuals with darker skin, the process of finding a good sunscreen can be even more difficult since lots of sunscreens tend to leave a white cast. The first step in selecting a sunscreen would be to decide whether or not a white cast would be an issue.
